Nostalgic icons of our country's heritage speak to me.  So when I was commissioned to paint Cape Hatteras Lighthouse as it looked before it was moved, I was delighted.  I enjoyed including the flowers native to coastal beaches and a few of the birds that can be seen there.  The fence line creates an invitation to draw closer to the lighthouse.  It is offered as a stretched canvas print.
