Have you ever had a dream, a vision that you feel was sent from God above?  A very precious lady commissioned me to paint a message she felt God sent her.  She had a great loss in her life when her husband passed away and she asked God for peace in her heart about her loss.  She felt God gave her a vision of a cross country track curving off into a distant foggy wooded area with a sunset in the background.  She saw a bright light from heaven hitting the track and a finish line sign at the end of that light.  The verse of scripture impressed on her was 2 Timothy 4:7; "I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." A great peace flooded over her.  This sweet lady wanted a physical representation of that dream as a reminder to her that her husband had finished the race and she was to continue the course and one day catch up to him at the finish line.  

I pray about my paintings and ask for God to guide me to use the brush, give me wisdom with colors, art elements and principles to come to a result that touches the hearts of others with the message He intends.  This lady told me that her vision had come to life on this canvas.  To God  be the glory.
