Why do we like portaits so much? What is a portrait for? Is it simply a record of a person's appearance? Or a way to preserve the days of our youth? It can be so much more. Sometimes it is a memoir of special moment in time. In this case is is an expression of the devotion two little sisters, now grown into teenagers, have for one another. In particular, this portait of "Sisters" are actually my granddaughters. Their Daddy, Joe Young, a photographer in his own right, took this sweet photograph of the girls several years ago providing this excellent composition. So what is "Sisters" all about? An expression of love and devotion between two precious little girls.
